We produce custom-designed hammers in NiCrMo alloy steel, starting from forged or rolled material, replacing the classic castings.
Normal hammers produced using, for example, manganese steel, have good ductility but do not guarantee high wear resistance, the result is a fast consumption.
It is therefore necessary to study different types of steel which, on the basis of the added alloying elements, allow for total core hardening and for some applications to differentiate the hardness between the working part and the bore hole.
The differential heat treatment is designed to avoid the triggering of breakages during operation and minimize wear on the hammer shaft.
With the customer it is possible to carry out studies and modifications on the shapes in order to improve performance in operation.
Our NiCrMo steels have the following advantages:
thanks to quality steels and heat treatments designed for each shape
of the hole and dimensional variations
depending on the final application of the hammer
allowing instant changes and product improvements at no additional cost
